On October 14, Shi Taifeng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, met with Singaporean Ambassador to China Mr. Stanley Loh.

Shi welcomed the diplomat and thanked him for his consistent support to Suzhou's development. "After two decades' construction and development, Suzhou Industrial Park has obtained amazing achievements and become a brand of cooperation between the two countries," he said. The success of the industrial park is closely related to the learning and adaptation of Singapore's experience, and "SIP Experience" also becomes one of the "three secrets" for the city's reform, opening-up, and modernization. He hoped that both sides would take SIP's 20th anniversary as a new start, sum up the experience of cooperation, keep deepening partnership, realize sustainability, venture into more extensive fields of finance and technological innovation, enrich the content of cooperation, and "make this cooperation more shiny".

Loh said Suzhou Industrial Park was a model cooperation project between China and Singapore and its success had been introduced to other places. He hoped that both sides would work on deepening the partnership, especially in service industry, construction of smart city, and cross-border Renminbi transactions.

Singapore Consul-General Ong Siew Gay in Shanghai and Suzhou municipal leaders Wang Xiang and Xu Ming also attended the meeting.
