On April 10, Secretary Wang Xiang of CPC Suzhou Industrial Park Working Committee led local officials including Li Yinong, Xia Fang, and heads of SIPAC Office, Economic & Trade Development Bureau, Service Development Bureau, and Science & Technology Bureau touring Crystal Pharmatech, DSLCD (Suzhou), His Design, Phoenix Bookstore, and talking to the managements about business operation.

Founded in 2010, Crystal Pharmatech is China's first company focusing on the development and commercialization of crystal drugs. DSLCD (Suzhou) is a well-established manufacturing brand growing with technological innovations and its product lines cover backlight and LCD modules for 18-55-inch LCD TVs and monitors.

His Design is an enterprise emphasizing creativity and high added value instead of assets. After moving its HQ to SIP, the company has boosted the entire industrial line of facility design and construction. At Phoenix Bookstore, the officials browsed the best-selling books and asked about its business. Located at Huxi (west of Jinji Lake) CBD area, the plaza is China's first cultural consumer complex in city.

At the meeting held in the afternoon, the executives of seven local companies shared their business development strategies. Going public in 2009, Suzhou Hesheng Special Materials is a domestic market leader in white appliance appearance and parts design and production. In spite of its success in market, the company is still generous in R&D investment and invested over twenty million yuan last year in the development of such new materials as imitation stainless steel.

Wang said he was impressed by the innovation by local companies in business mode, technology, and product. "The healthy development of local brands is an important force securing SIP's steady economic growth," he said. He also urged the officials to understand the actual needs of these companies so as to help them make continuous progress along the path of innovation.
