SIP recently saw a series of events to mark the upcoming International Volunteer Day, an international observance on Dec 5 designated by the United Nations in 1985 to encourage volunteerism and recognize volunteers’ contributions.

SIP New Era Civilization Practice Center, an organization providing volunteer services for publicity, public education, cultural activities, science popularization and public health, inaugurated its ninth service station at Suzhou Center on Nov 30. The service station is equipped with a self-service library system for booklovers and a display screen to showcase SIP’s achievements in driving local social civilization.
The center also launched an online volunteer service platform on the same day to better learn about and meet SIP’s residents’ needs for various volunteer services.

SIP Volunteers Association and SIP Corporate Social Responsibility Alliance jointly launched a series of programs to offer local enterprises chances to take part in various charity and volunteer activities.

Moreover, over 1,000 volunteers including adults and youngsters joined an orienteering in the light rain to do their bit in popularizing environmental protection concepts and make donations for good causes.
