Lan Shaomin, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Jiangsu Committee and secretary of CPC Suzhou Committee, met with Francois Barbier, president of Global Operations and Components at American multinational technological manufacturer Flex Ltd, and his contingent on Nov 7. Flex Ltd reportedly now runs six manufacturing facilities in Suzhou, including three in SIP.

 

At the event, Lan gave the guests a specific introduction to Suzhou’s business environment and opening-up policies, laying emphasis on SIP and the new free trade zone established in it in September. He encouraged Flex to expand its footprint in the city, and promised to offer it more support in the future. 

 

Francois Barbier expressed thanks to Suzhou government for its long-term support to Flex, and disclosed that the company will invest more in the city to develop new products and strive for a larger market share.
