Grundfos, a Denmark-based supplier of pumps for heating, air conditioning, industry and water treatment, opened its Factory of the Future in SIP on Oct 29. The technologically advanced factory, the second Grundfos facility of its kind worldwide, will enable Grundfos to deliver more better products and solutions in a more efficient and energy-saving way. 

 

Founded in 1945, Grundfos is a global leader in pump manufacturing. It set up Grundfos Pumps Suzhou Ltd in SIP in 1995 to produce sanitary and utility pumps and other products, and inaugurated Grundfos (China) Technical Center in the area last August. 

 

“The new factory employs such technologies as Internet of Things, cloud computing, virtual reality and 3D printing for R&D, business management, staff training and other operations to improve productivity, reduce costs and provide better services for our clients,” the company said, adding that the factory will go paperless.
