A news briefing on Oct 26 announced that the 2020 (5th) Suzhou Jinji Lake Biennale sponsored by SIP Administrative Committee is set to take place in SIP’s Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block and Jinji Lake Art Museum and several other places in Suzhou from May 16 to July 26, 2020. The planning team for the event formed concurrently.

 

Wu Weishan, curator of National Art Museum of China and chief designer of the previous four sessions of Suzhou Jinji Lake Biennale, serves as the chief designer for the event. He will work alongside eight parallel exhibition designers to bring about an art feast of paintings, sculptures and calligraphy to the visitors. 

 

The designers received letters of appointment at the news briefing.

 

It is reported that, in addition to exhibitions, there will be academic forums and theme activities during the event.
