Mondelēz China and TMIC inaugurate joint R&D facility in SIP

Mondelēz China, a member within American multinational confectionery, food and beverage company Mondelēz International, and TMall Innovation Center (TMIC), the new product development arm of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, jointly inaugurated the C2B Innovation Factory at Mondelēz Global R&D Center, SIP on Sept 17. 
 
C2B Innovation Factory will be dedicated to developing new products that customers actually want based on different data resources TMIC holds on a huge number of buyers, according to Wang Jie, vice president for global R&D at Mondelēz who is in charge of the project.
Wang also revealed that Mondelēz China has put together a “Prompt Innovation Team” consisting of members apt at marketing, R&D, procurement, quality control and legal affairs to support the project, and adopted a mechanism to authorize factories to manufacture its new products in order to ensure sufficient and efficient supply.
 
The first product developed under the cooperation was unveiled on the same day. It contains Oreo cookies, nuts and dried fruits to meet the demand of people who fancy all of the three kinds of food products.
