Wu Qingwen, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, on Aug 22 met with Yasushi Okada, chief operating officer of Japanese pharmaceutical company Eisai Co Ltd, and his contingent.

 

Eisai is engaged in the developing, manufacturing and marketing prescription medicines and over-the-counter products. Its branch founded in SIP in 1996 currently makes seven of its products.

 

At the event, Wu gave the guests a specific introduction to SIP’s economic and social development, especially achievements in the biomedicine sector. He encouraged the company to expand its operations in SIP in the future.

Yasushi Okada expressed thanks to SIP authorities for their consistent support to his company and disclosed that Eisai intends to enhance investment in SIP to develop more new technologies and products.
