Suzhou mayor meets with Microsoft executives

Suzhou Mayor Li Yaping on Aug 15 met with Yan Xuan, global vice president of Microsoft, and several other executives from the American tech behemoth.
 
At the event, Li gave Yan and his colleagues a specific introduction to Suzhou’s economic and social development, and expressed thanks to Microsoft for its active role in driving the city’s industrial transformation and upgrading. He hopes that Microsoft and Suzhou government can expand cooperation in the future.
 
Yan expressed thanks to Suzhou government for its long-term support for Microsoft’s operations in Suzhou, and disclosed that Microsoft is planning to enlarge its R&D input in Suzhou and expects to achieve more win-win outcomes in collaboration with local government.
It is learnt that, in a recent move, Microsoft signed a framework agreement with SIP in April to set up platforms in SIP for AI professional cultivation, business incubation and acceleration, technology application for industrial upgrading, and transnational cooperation.
