SIP makes deployment for future development of open economy

SIP convened a work conference on Apr 19, looking back on the local authorities’ efforts in driving open economy and making deployment for future work. 

Wu Qingwen, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, spoke at the event, calling on the local authorities to enhance reform and opening-up to attract more multinationals to the area and help local enterprises seek international cooperation opportunities and expand investment and business operations overseas.

Moreover, Wu and Ruan Qing, deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission and executive deputy director of YRD Regional Cooperation Office, jointly unveiled the nameplate for YRD Overseas Investment Promotion Center. The center will serve to help increase foreign investment in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region and give YRD-based enterprises a helping hand in their overseas investment. 

In addition, a number of enterprises received awards in 11 categories for their contributions to local economic development, and representatives from several administrative offices and enterprises shared their practices with the other participants.
