SIP hosted an event on Mar 7 to mark the 108th anniversary of International Women’s Day (IWD), a global day annually observed on March 8 to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

The event began with an award ceremony, where a number of females with remarkable contributions to the local economic and social development received awards.

"I'm so excited to see what I have done has helped some people," said Zhang Huizhen, director of Weiting Sub-district Working Committee on Women and Children who won the "Advanced Individual" award for her consistent endeavor in serving the local women and children.

On the occasion, SIP Woman Volunteer Service Base was inaugurated.
