World Class Infrastructure

  The infrastructure of the 70 sq km in SIP has been completed. Currently, SIP has achieved the standard of providing nine types of utilities and land-filling.
  Power supply: Power is tapped from three different sources with a dual feed system,  ensuring the sufficiency and reliability. Besides, SIP has its own power generation plant, with a total planned capacity of 3600 MW.
  Water: Water is tapped from the Tai Lake. The water quality surpasses national standards and has attained international advanced potable standards. The daily capacity can reach up to 600,000 ton.
  Gas supply: SIP has completely switched to using natural gas with heat value exceeding 8000 kcal/m3. Moreover, the dedicated supplying pipeline is ready to provide different kinds of industrial gases of different purity.
  Steam:  SIP adopts a centralized system for the provision of steam with a capacity of 110 ton/hour. The Blue Sky Power Co. that is currently under construction will use natural gas as fuel to reach the planned capacity of 240 ton steam per hour.

  Sewage treatment and solid waste disposal: Drainage and sewage systems in SIP are separated. The current daily capacity of the SIP Sewage Treatment Plant is 100,000 tons. The second phase is under construction with the aim to reach daily capacity of 500,000 tons finally. There are another two companies, which specialize in disposing solid waste. The disposal of solid waste and waste burying rate is 100%.
  Telecommunications service: The telecommunication network is able to provide a wide range of services including IDD calls, international roaming, wireless paging, video/phone conferencing with major cities of China, fax, ISDN, LAN, ADSL, DDN and etc.
  Postal service: Local and international couriers are available in SIP, which can provide convenient and efficient courier services.
  Safety/Accident prevention unit: SIP has a specialized, well equipped agency to  cope with industrial accidents such as those caused by chemical, electronics companies. With tight security supervision and alarm system, the entire SIP is adequately covered by prevention, support and control system in terms of accidents. In addition, there is an emergency centre, a foreign-invested hospital and 24-hour emergency hotline for foreigners, providing various emergency assistance.
