High Standard Infrastructure
SIP has developed and completed a high standard of infrastructure. 30 sq km of the completed build-up area has attained the "Nine Utilities & Land-filling" standard. Infrastructure development in Phase II and III is currently underway. Basic infrastructure and road networks are taking form.
Power
The dual-feed power supply network, complete cable system and advanced power management guarantee stable and reliable power supply to customers.
Water
Water is sourced from the center of the Taihu Lake. It surpasses the National Water Standard and attained international advanced potable standard. The present water supply is 150,000 m3/day and final capacity will reach 600,000 m3/day.
 
Gas
The current gas supply capacity of 150,000 m3/day, will increase to a final capacity of 300,000m3/day to meet the demands of customers. Natural Gas will be made available in 2004. Industrial gases at different grades and purity are also available.
Steam
The present steam supply is 80 tons/hr and final capacity will reach 110 tons/hr.
Sewage Treatment
Drainage and sewage system in SIP is separated. The existing daily capacity of the SIP Sewage Treatment Plant is 100,000 tons, with a final daily capacity of 500,000 tons.
Telecommunication
The telecommunication network completed thus far is able to provide and support the services of IDD, auto-roaming mobile phones, wireless paging, video/phone conferencing in major China cities, fax, ISDN, LAN, ADSL and DDN.
Post Service
Local and international couriers are available in SIP, which can provide convenient mail and express services.
