SIP Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation Park Claims Three More Provincial Incubators

Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Department recently certified Suzhou Siyuan Science and Technology Innovation Park, Suzhou Hanhai IT Business Service Center, and Soochow University Technology Innovation & Incubation Center as provincial hi-tech innovation service centers. As a result, there are three national and five provincial incubators in SIP and all of them are based in Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation Park, and they have turned out more than 1,000 enterprises.

Incubators are the breeding ground for innovation companies and the cradle of entrepreneurs, and as the core engine to spur on the innovation-centered economy in SIP, the Park has made active efforts in recent years in building enterprise incubators to promote the commercialization of research achievements and the cultivation of rising technological enterprises, and laid stress on more comprehensive and customized services so as to create an industry-oriented incubation structure combining the strength and resources of production, teaching, and research.

On November 10, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education jointly certified Suzhou Nano-Tech Park as National University Science Park and this is the third national incubator in the area. The new provincial incubators, namely, XJTU National College Science Park (Suzhou) & Suzhou Siyuan Science and Technology Innovation Park, USTC Suzhou Science Park & Suzhou Hanhai IT Business Service Center, Soochow University National University Science Park (SIP) & Soochow University Technology Innovation & Incubation Center, cover a total area of 40,000 square meters and have hatched nearly 100 companies.
