Suzhou Higer and China Unicom Cooperate in Internet of Cars

Internet of Cars realizes the vehicle-to-vehicle and person-to-vehicle "communications" to ensure more intelligent and safe driving.

Integrating the functions of information analysis, snapshot and recording, the black box can record in real-time the data on mechanical and man-made default and drivers' illegal behaviors.

By combining with 3G network, the data recorded by the black box can be transmitted to the backstage management service department in real time, and the drivers can download daily information, including real-time traffic status, restaurants along the driving route and parking lots.

Suzhou Higer Bus Company signed Strategic Framework Agreement with China Unicom on the afternoon of September 3. According to the Agreement, based on G-BOS independently developed by Higer and China Unicom's WCDMA and 3G network, the two sides will cooperate in automobile service sector with the core of in-vehicle technology applied in big-and-middle-sized coaches, so as to provide customers with intelligent management support with the core of automobile operating service by integrating the in-vehicle technology, the Internet and mobile telecommunication service. Thus, Suzhou Higer becomes the first Chinese automobile manufacture adopting "Internet of Cars" application technology.

According to the Agreement, China Unicom will continuously promote the application of automobile intelligent application service for Higer automobiles of different styles and models. In the meantime, based on the signed project, the both sides will set up a special projects team to carry out the R&D, test and popularization of the application of telecommunication-related value-added services, including security protection, remote diagnosis and rescue, positioning and call center, etc.
