Suzhou Enterprises Attract Talents of Well-Known Universities
On July 11, 3rd Forum and Scientific Achievements Communication on Innovation and Cooperation between Leading Chinese Colleges and Suzhou Municipality kicked off at Stadium of Suzhou Industrial Park Sci-Edu Innovation Park.

Mayor Yan Li pointed out that to achieve substantial progress of strategic new-emerging industries in the new period of scientific development, Suzhou must depend on scientific and technological strength, independent innovation capability, and talent pools. Forum and Scientific Achievements Communication on Innovation and Cooperation between Leading Chinese Colleges and Suzhou Municipality, successfully held for the past two years, is a good platform for local governments, Suzhou enterprises, and influential domestic and foreign high schools to create cooperation opportunities. Mayor Yan hoped the activity could be a name card of "Innovative Suzhou" and attract more elites.
The forum was attended by 800 Suzhou enterprises, 200 non-Suzhou enterprises, and 80 domestic and foreign schools including Columbia University and University of California, Berkeley, increasing in size, numbers, and popularity over the previous two events.
On scientific fruits matching, 12 college-enterprise cooperation projects were signed including Suzhou Higer New Energy and Shanghai Jiaotong University, Suzhou Hanling Technology and Suzhou Institute for Advanced Study, USTC.
Suzhou Institute of North China Electric Power University was inaugurated on July 11.
