Suzhou Software Testing Center Passes CMMI Grade-3 Evaluation
Suzhou Software Testing Center Co., Ltd. passed the evaluation on CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) Grade-3 on Dec. 22, and became the first software service provider with SMMI quality assurance in China.
Suzhou Software Testing Center Co., Ltd. was established in 2005 as a service provider of software quality assurance, and the same given the responsibility of operating and maintaining the public technological service platform at Suzhou Software Park. The fact that the Center was certified for CMMI Grade-3 indicates that its capability of software quality assurance and process management has lived up to the standard of international mainstream modes in providing world-class software quality service to customers with international competitiveness.
CMMI model was formally released to replace the CMM model by Software Engineering Institute of American Carnegie Mellon University in 2002 to meet the demands of US Department of Defense in the evaluation of software service providers, which combines the models of software capability maturity, system engineering capability, integrated product development, and outsourced development capability to represent the highest standard in evaluation of software enterprises. The CMMI models are divided into 5 grades, Grade-1 to Grade-5, figuratively compared to initializing, planting, blooming, fruit bearing, and species improvement.
