Suzhou Delegation Makes Field Survey in Laos on "Going-Out" Strategy
Suzhou delegation, led by Wang Rong executive Member of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, visited Vientiane, capital of Laos, from July 15 to 17 after attending the 9th SIP China-Singapore Joint Steering Council Meeting, accompanied by Wang Jinhua, Deputy Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of SIP Party Working Committee.
The delegation inspected the construction site of sports facilities for 2009 Southeast Asian Games in Vientiane, and the development of Vientiane new city, undertaken by Suzhou, and made field surveys on the strategy of "going out". The delegation also met the working teams from Suzhou in the Vientiane projects, and listened to their work briefs. Wang Rong gave full assessment of the work in previous stages.
During their visit in Laos, Wang Rong and his entourage were received by the Party and government leaders of Lao People's Democratic Republic, including Choummali, party and secretary-general and president of Laos, Prime Minister Bouphavanh, Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat Lengsavat, and party leader of Vientiane, etc. The two sides had talks on further cooperation projects in economic reforms in Laos, and on how to make these projects successful examples of exchange and cooperation between Suzhou and Laos.
