SIP Auto Industry Association Founded
SIP Auto Industrial Association, the first manufacturers' industrial association in SIP, was officially founded at the inauguration session at Modern Building on June 8. The session passed the articles of association and elected members of the first council. Kinglong United Auto, Bosch, and other 8 auto enterprises were elected to the council.
At the first council session, Mr. Wu Wenwen, Managing Director of Kinglong United Auto (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., was elected chairman of the association, and vice-chairmanships were shared by Mr. K. Hechtel, GM of Bosch Automotive (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., and Mr. Naomi Yamata, Chairman and GM of Hitachi Auto Parts (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., while Mr. Wu Jiankang, Deputy GM of Dongfeng Transmission Shafts Co., Ltd., took up the post of secretary-general.
By the article of association, the association is of the nature of a non-profit social organization within the automotive industry, aimed to offer a platform to speed up the growth of auto industry in SIP with the concerted efforts of enterprises and government.
