China's Largest Purification Equipment Production Base Gets Under Way
Jiangsu Sujing Group, under the controlling stock of Chuanyuan Group, became one of the first to enter SIP China-Singapore Science Hub by laying foundation for its new plant of purification equipment, the largest in scale in China, on May 28.
The Science Hub is a 4-km2 hi-tech zone combining manufacturing, R&D, residence and commerce in the northern part of SIP within close range of Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway. The zone is now focusing on the introduction of electronics, IT, bio-medicine, new materials, and nanotech industries and R&D centers, sales centers, regional HQs. The foundation laying of Sujing Group will add a spur on the development and construction of the hub.
Sujing Group, formerly known as Suzhou Purification Equipment Plant, is a major hi-tech enterprise and the largest producer of purification equipment in China. Its products were successfully applied in such national projects as Xichang Satellite Launching Site, Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant, Yuanwang Satellite Tracking Ship, etc.
The new plant to be built in China-Singapore Science Hub tolls an investment of 250 million RMB, to be implemented in two phases. The first phase will include 33,200m2 of workshops and 21,500m2 of technological and administration area, installed with related equipment for technical upgrading and innovation.
The new plant is expected to go into operation by April next year.
