Suzhou Logistic Center Honored with Top Grade
The "5A Evaluation Group" of Comprehensive Evaluation Committee for Logistics Enterprises, under China Logistics and Procurement Federation, conducted an on-spot evaluation on Suzhou Logistic Center on Feb. 15, and the leader of the experts' group delivered an assessment report to the Center, confirming the qualification of the Center. On march 23, the A-grade Evaluation Committee formally announced that Suzhou Logistic Center was awarded the title of "5A logistic enterprise of comprehensive services", which is the highest honor in the evaluation by China Logistics and Procurement Federation.
Relying on the superior policies and geographical position, Suzhou Logistic Center has built up an internationalized large-scale platform combining bonded operation, warehousing, processing, distribution, and customs clearance. The result of the evaluation has put Suzhou Logistic Center the unique logistic enterprise of the highest grade in the whole of Jiangsu Province, a fact that hallmarks the advanced level of the Center in modern management system, business concept, and operation mode.
The evaluation was undertaken as the fourth session in accordance with national standards stipulated in "Classification and Evaluation Targets of Logistic Enterprises" (GB/T19680-2005), which began in October 2006 and took over 5 months to complete through the stages of self-recommendation, application, evaluation, on-spot assessment, and final examination by experts' committee. The 43 A-grade enterprises announced this time represent the basic features of modern logistic enterprises in implementing national criteria and supply chain management, and integrating logistic resources, as well as the improvement in independent innovation and comprehensive service of logistic enterprises in China.
A ceremony is scheduled for April 17-19, 2007 in Kunming, Yunnan Province to confer the A-grade certificates and plates, to be live broadcast free by Oriental Logistics Channel of CCTV.
