A Wide Array of Special Chinese and Foreign Tourist Commodities at Fair

Traditional sweets from Caizhizhai Confectionery and wines from Portugal will make debut at the forthcoming domestic tourism fair this year.

China (Suzhou) Tourist Commodities Fari, as one of the major events during the 2007 China Domestic Tourism Fair, will be held in Suzhou International Expo Center by Jinji Lake, SIP, under the sponsorship of Jiangsu Provincial Administration of Tourism and Suzhou Municipal People's Government. The fair will be divided into domestic and international zones with a total of 700 to 1,000 booths covering an area of 15,000m2. Suzhou Foodstuff Association has made reservation of 150 booths, and more than 50 other domestic enterprises have applied to participate in the fair. Foods of special local features like Caizhizhai Confectionery sweets will make their debut at the fair. Rocks for bonsai from Shandong Province and jade ornaments from Henan will also be represented at the fair. Spanish businessmen have booked 200m2 booth in the international zone to exhibit port wines and olive oil, etc.

Tourism is a comprehensive industry related to over 100 industrial chains, and tourist commodities embrace all goods concerning food, hotel accommodations, transport, sightseeing, shopping, recreation and entertainment.

The fair is classified into hotel-related goods, tourist equipment, foodstuffs, tourist arts and crafts and souvenirs, information technology, and celebration articles, etc. Even the kitchen utensils and toiletry, sightseeing coaches, tents, garments, and household decoration are included in the commodity fair.

The fair will demonstrate the new achievements in developing tourist commodities in China and overseas, and afford an exchange platform for designers, producers, sales agents, and customers of tourist commodities. Professional tourist organizations and personages will also be invited to the fair.
