SIP to Erect Sky-high Ferris Wheel
A plan has been made in SIP to build an extra-large Ferris wheel, with a diameter of 120 meters, on the eastern shore of Jinji Lake. The wheel and related facilities will be installed by May next year for commercial operation. Visitors on the wheel will be able to gain a bird's-eye view of the entire scenery of Jinji Lake and the modern features of SIP.
The Ferris Wheel project, located at the Culture and Water Corridor on the southern flank of Modern Square east of Jinji Lake, occupies a land area of 10,000m2, divided into 4 landscaped sections catering to visitors of different ages. On the wheel will be installed 60 space cabins, sufficient to carry 360 visitors aboard. The colorful lighting system on the wheel will make a unique scene by Jinji Lake at night.
