70-meter Fire Dragon to Deepen Festival Atmosphere at Jinji Lake
A 40-day-long project of the Phase-2 multifunction music fountain was finally completed before the Chinese New Year at Jinji Lake, thanks to the efforts of SIP Urban Management Bureau and construction contractors. The spectacular fountain with visual and audio effects will be presented as a gift to the residents of Suzhou in their Spring Festival holidays.
The Phase-2 project was a modified version of the Phase-1 fountain completed in early 2006. What makes it unique in China is the 70-meter-long artistic fire dragon, the first advanced automatic firework system and water thunderbolts in China, and the performance of water waltz, which embraces the elements of music, fountain, lighting, laser, movie, fire dragon, tornado, and fireworks. It is going to be the richest and the most complete large-scale waterscape in China with novel stage effect.
The 70-meter-long fire dragon the currently the longest of its kind in the world, controlled by programs for various firework shows. The presence of all the elements of music fountain show, matched with hi-tech operation, will make an awe-striking, unique, and spectacular waterscape show at Jinji Lake.
The show will be formally open from the Eve of lunar New Year, and during the holidays, the show is scheduled at 20:00 – 20:30 hrs from Feb. 17 to Feb. 25, and after the festival, at 20:00 – 20:30 on Friday and Saturday evenings.
