Kubota's New Agro-machinery Manufacturing Base Starts Operation
Kubota Agro-machinery (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. started operation at new manufacturing base in SIP on Feb. 2, which marks enhanced capability of production, sales and service of agricultural machinery in China. Wang Jinhua, Deputy Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, attended the celebration ceremony on the day.
Kubota Corporation is the largest agro-machinery manufacturer in Japan with a history of 113 years. Its subsidiary, Kubota Agro-machinery (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., is a manufacturer of comprehensive agricultural machinery with integrated capacity of development, production, sales, and service. The company has so far sold over 10,000 units of half-feeding harvesters in China, over 50% of the existing harvesters in use.
The new Kubota manufacturing facility in SIP covers an area of 130,000m2 with 2 billion Japanese yan, and the first phase of workshop measure 33,000m2 in floor space and has an annual production capacity of 8,500 harvesters and over 10,000 hand-controlled paddy rice transplanting machines.
The new facility of Kubota will be used to carry out R&D, production and sales of combines, paddy rice transplanters, and other new types of agro-machinery. An experimental seedling plot and product show room are also available at the new base.
