SIP Adopts Bidding for Construction Price Evaluation Service
SIP Finance Bureau recently adopted public bidding through government procurement system for the screening of service providers of construction price evaluation. The act was aimed to uphold the principle of transparency, openness, and fairness in government-invested construction projects. 33 service providers participated in the tender, and 15 of them were rewarded with the bidding. These selected service units will be assigned tasks by turns to provide price consulting service for SIP government-invested construction projects in 2007.
This is the first time SIP government ever issued tender document for project service, and the method is to be used every year to screen applicants to ensure rational government spending.
