SIP Post-PhD Workstation Unveiled for Nanotech Research
Upon the heels of CAS Nano-tech Industrialization Base and Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics, a national-level post-PhD workstation (Suzhou Nanotech Workstation) was inaugurated in SIP on Nov. 23, which will undoubtedly promote the clustering of senior talents in Suzhou and the independent innovation capabilities of SIP.
The post-doctorate workstation was founded by Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics, a national scientific research institution by cooperation of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Jiangsu Provincial Government, and Suzhou Municipal Government, as well as the first national-level R&D institution in Suzhou for new emerging industries, which represents the top level of nano-tech research in China with main orientations in nano-materials and related fabrications, nano-biological technology and nano-medicine, nano-bionics, and nano-security, etc.
The newly established Suzhou Nano-tech Workstation is the 7th branch of SIP Post-doctorate Workstation. The station is currently staffed with over 30 doctors and post-doctors. On the day of inauguration, Dr. Yang Hui and Zhang Yaohui from Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics were given the award fees for senior talents according to "Implementation Methods for Attracting High-level and Urgently Needed Talents in SIP".
