Mayor Yan Li Meets Microsoft Global Vice-president
During the 2nd Software Summit, held in Suzhou on Oct. 10 jointly by Suzhou Software Park (SIP Science Park) and Microsoft (China) Co., Ltd., Yan Li, Deputy Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Suzhou, met Mr. Sanjay Parthasarathy, Global Vice-president of Microsoft, and this group. Present at the meeting was Wang Jinhua, Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of SIP Party Working Committee.
Mayor Yan Li says that Suzhou is the second largest industrial city in China with import and export volume reaching 140 billion US dollars last year, and over 10,000 foreign-invested enterprises have been set up in Suzhou. Yan Li was delighted to see the close contact with Microsoft and hoped the exchange and cooperation would be further enhanced.
Mr. Sanjay Parthasarathy tells the host that Microsoft Corporation is committed to the strategic development by being rooted in the local soil and deeping cooperation to achieve a win-win situation. He praised the fast development of software industry in Suzhou and its widespread influence in China. He says that Microsoft would be devoted to cooperation with Suzhou Software Park to improve the core competitiveness of China's software industry.
At the 2nd Software Summit on the same day, Microsoft Corporation gave a presentation on the latest products and technologies of Microsoft, the blueprint and prospect of future development, and the latest information on international software enterprise management and hi-tech risk investment.
