SIP Recruits Talents in the Western Regions
SIP held an information release meeting in Chengdu on Sept. 20 on technological cooperation and talent recruitment. The delegation led by Wang Jinhua, Deputy Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, announced over 100 projects in relation to SIP hi-tech enterprises, 13 technological research projects, and 1,300 posts for scientific and technological personnel, which aroused warm response among the local enterprises and media in Chengdu.
It is known that 620,000 technical personnel are working at various posts in Chengdu, while the tertiary institutions of Chengdu turn out large numbers of technological talents every year. It is in such circumstances that SIP expressed desire and expectations to cooperate with technological enterprises and schools of Chengdu in talent recruitment and technological innovation. World-famous enterprises like Philips, Samsung Semiconductor, and Emerson joined the delegation to recruit talents.
At the information release, Wang Jinhua tells the audience that SIP has maintain a growth rate of 40% in development and construction for the past 12 years, and SIP is striving to build up national industrial bases in bio-medicine, nanotechnology, and other new and hi-tech industries, and that there is still 30% shortage of technical personnel in technology, management, finance, and especially high-level talents for innovations.
Ma Minglong, Director of Sipac, gave an introduction on the policies concerning talent recruitment, technological service, and IPR protection. About 500 attendees at the meeting showed keen interest in the development prospect of SIP, and many decided to apply for the vacancies to start their new careers in Suzhou.
During their stay in Chengdu, the SIP delegation members made surveys on Lighting Project and Hi-tech Development Zone of Chengdu. The next destination of the West-bound recruitment tour will be Xi'an.
