SIP Int'l Science Park Sends Delegation to
Nanjing Int'l Software Expo
A delegation organized by SIP International Science Park participated in Nanjing International Software Products Show from Sept. 1 to 3, and had extensive exchanges in market information with domestic and overseas counterparts at the expo.
In the first half of this year, the export of software products from SIP International Science Park amounted to US$ 25.1 million, making up 40% that of the whole of Jiangsu Province. SIP is also the site of 7 enterprises for "software export experimentation project" designated by Ministry of Science and Technology. By the end of 2005, about 50 software enterprises in the Science Park had been engaged in consigned software export, of which 30 were assigned as bases for export to Europe and USA. To better publicize the profiles of these enterprises, SIP International Science Park organized the delegation under unified format, written materials, and video presentations to carry out exchanges and promotion at the Nanjing event.
The participating enterprises from SIP established ties with over 80 enterprises at the fair, and over 400 copies of handouts were distributed to promote the "SEPG China 2006", to be sponsored by SIP Technology Development Co., Ltd., and 20% of the companies at the fair expressed intention to attend the conference.
The Nanjing show was jointly organized by Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Information Industry, National Administration of Copyrights, and Jiangsu Provincial Government and attended by 296 well-known enterprises and advertising companies from 18 provinces and municipalities and 16 countries and regions, including software tycoons like IBM, Microsoft, Motorola, Lucent, Oracle, and Huawei, Zhongxing, Yongyou, and China Software, etc. The exhibition introduced the latest software technologies and products and solutions, along with 30 specialized sessions on software innovation and internationalization and technological talent exchanges. Also announced at the expo were "top 10 national software innovation enterprises", "top 10 national software products", and "most influential events in China's software industrial development". A number of major projects of software investment were also signed at the fair.
