Suzhou Software Park Delegation Attends Microsoft Summit Talks
The delegation of SIP Software Exporting Union, organized by SIP International Technology Park (Suzhou Software Park) in coordination with Suzhou Software Evaluation and Testing Cetner, attended the summit meeting of software enterprises convened by Microsoft (China) Co., Ltd. in Beijing on Nov. 25 and 26. The delegation consisted of SIP software enterprises such as Infineon, Unimap Software, New Sky Software, Oceansoft, and Gaoda Software, etc.
At the summit meeting, the National Development and Reform Commission and Microsoft (China) Co., Ltd. jointly initiated the "Potential Development Plan", aimed to promote the continued growth of domestic software enterprises and parks under the commitment of concerted development of Microsoft and Chinese software enterprises, to enhance the competitiveness of Chinese software industry and to train qualified software personnel of all levels, to raise the developing capability of world-class software and independent software intellectual property rights. Mr. Yuan Ye, Deputy Head of Information Industry Division of Hi-tech Dept. of National Development and Reform Commission and concurrently Vice-director of Software Cooperation Office, attended the meeting, and Mr. Nigel Burton, GM for China Regional Development Cooperation of Software, delivered a speech.
Under the joint sponsorship of National Development and Reform Commission and Microsoft China, the "Potential Development Plan" has been in trial implementation in Qi Lu Software Park in Jinan, Qingdao Software Park, Xi’an Software Park, and Chengdu Software Park with satisfactory results, and have been warmly received and assessed by the local governments. Microsoft and SIP International Technology Park (operated by Suzhou Software Evaluation and Testing Center) have cooperated in setting up a Microsoft Allied Laboratory, which provided opportunity for Suzhou software enterprises to gain an in-depth understanding and successful results of Microsoft’s latest technologies as well as the development procedures and management mode. Besides, Microsoft and Suzhou Software Evaluation and Testing Center will hold periodical training programs for Suzhou software enterprises and courses for actual software development with all-round Microsoft technological backups.
Prior to the summit meeting, the International Technology Park (Suzhou Software Park) organized a visit by SIP Software Exporting Union to Microsoft China Technological Center to experience the latest innovation results of Microsoft. The delegation was keenly interested in the new technologies of Microsoft and made repeated inquiries about the new features and received detailed explanations.
