New Factory of DWnet Technology Completed in SIP
Dwnet Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. made its presence in SIP in 2000, and in June 2004, the company began to build a new factory with increased investment. On Oct. 31, the DWnet Technology Building, which cost US$ 20 million, was formally inaugurated. Present at the celebration ceremony were Wang Rong, Member of Standing Committee and Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, Chen Yao, Director of Provinical Taiwan Affairs Office, and Wang Jinhua, Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of SIP Party Working Committee.
DWnet Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of SerComm Corporation of Taiwan, is a hi-tech enterprise engaged in research and development of network equipment with customers across the world. SerComm Corporation became the world’s second largest supplier of wireless broad-frequency routers in 2003, and with the constantly growing team of R&D in DWnet, the manufacturing section of SerComm Corporation has been gradually shifted to Suzhou.
Reportedly, DWnet Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. has become a leader in the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of specialized network servers in China. The DWnet Technology Building is the new factory built by SerCmm with increased investment in 2004 with the combined functions of R&D, manufacturing, and sales, and its planned production capacity is planned at 300 servers annually with annual revenue of US$ 100 million. At the inauguration ceremony, SerComm Corporation presented a set of wireless network coverage equipment to the new office building of Sipac on the east of Jinji Lake.
