2005 eMEX Suzhou Opens Today

"An ancient city", "a city of renown", and "classical gardens" are the three name cards of Suzhou. Now, with the rising reputation of eMEX in China and abroad, eMEX has become the fourth name card of the  famous ancient garden city of Suzhou.

The "2005 eMEX Suzhou, China", sponsored by Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Information Industry, State Council Office of Taiwan Affairs, and Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, formally opens today in Suzhou International Expo Center by Jinji Lake, Suzhou Inustrial Park. The fair is to last till Oct. 22.

The previous three eMEX events went through a successful growth of scale and reputation. The 4th eMEX this year has further expanded the scale and raised its level of technological standards in harmonious combination of GPM (government-pushed market), BTB (business to business), and BTC (business to customer).

The current eMEX is of the following 5 striking features:

I. A breakthrough in scale. 502 exhibitors and 1,500 stands make the fair No. 1 in China

II. New technologies in products. The exhibition is composed of electronic components, 3C digital products, and technological service, with thousands of new IT products and frontline technologies in display;

III. Expanded gathering of visitors. Prestigious figures and multinational corporation presidents in great numbers, plus several Nobel Prize winners, are among the guests of honor;

IV. New attempt at a variety of activities. A total of 25 forums on multi-topics are organized at the current eMEX;

V. Innovative ways of organization. Suzhou Industrial Park intensified its efforts in Phase-2 construction of the International Expo Center and the lakeside business belt, and provided first-rate service for the eMEX.
