Dover Group of Fortune 500 Builds New Plant in Loufeng Township
The American-invested Alphasem (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. held an opening ceremony on the afternoon of Sept. 15 for its new plant in Loufeng Sub-zone of SIP. So far, there have been 3 subsidiaries of Dover Group, a Fortune-500 multinational corporation, in Loufeng Township, SIP, the other two being Global Precision Instrument and DEK Technology. With the presence of Alphasem in Loufeng, the Fortune-500 enterprises in the sub-zone have added up to 8.
Dover Group of the US has its headquarters in NY, USA, and its subsidiaries are spread across the world with several billion USD assets. Over 50 years' operation has made the corporation a manufacturing tycoon of diversified industries. The Swiss-based Alphasem Semiconductor, merged into Dover Group in 1999, is mainly devoted to R&D, and production of chip assembling instruments for sealing stage of semiconductors, and has become one the three largest global suppliers in this field since its founding in 1979.
The favorable investment climate and adequate industrial backup in Loufeng Sub-zone account for the fact that Alphasem is currently moving its China Division from Shenzhen to Loufeng, SIP. The new plant will not only carry out assembling operations, but provide training and application backup through its technological contingent.
