Mayor Yan Li Meets Guests from Hong Kong
Yan Li, Deputy Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Suzhou, met Hong Kong young entrepreneurs’ delegation led by Zeng Zhixiong, Chairman of China World Trade Group (HK). Present at the meeting were Zheng Kunsheng, Vice Director of Liaison Office of Central Government in Hong Kong, and Wang Jinhua, Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee.
Yan Li gave the guests an outlined introduction about the social and economic development in recent years in Suzhou, laying special stress on the coordinated development, which promoted not only the vigorous economic growth, but also successful protection of the ancient city. He hoped that more young entrepreneurs from Hong Kong would come to visit Suzhou to experience the charm of this city of historical and cultural renown, and at the same time, to learn about its investment climate. Zeng told the host about his favorable feel of Suzhou on his first trip, and the government’s pro-business approach and services in Suzhou had left him deep impression. He hoped that the current visit would promote more investment in Suzhou by Hong Kong entrepreneurs.
Also present at the meeting were Ma Minglong, Chairman of SIP Administrative Committee, and Tan Gongjiao, Vice Director of Municipal Foreign Affairs Office.
