Bosch Opening Technology Center in SIP
Robert Bosch Group, the world's leading supplier of auto parts, opened up its technology center in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) last Saturday. Covering an area of 200,000 sq. m, the center had a total investment of over USD 60 million. Mr. Yan Li, Deputy Party Secretary of Suzhou Municipality and Mayor of Suzhou, and Mr. Wang Jinhua, Deputy Party Secretary of Suzhou Municipality and Party Secretary of SIP Working Committee, attended the unveiling ceremony. Also present were guests from Automobile Engineering Association of China and German Consulate in Shanghai.
Bosch Technology Center was established after Bosch Automotive (Suzhou ) Co., Ltd which opened in Suzhou in 1999. As the 10th subsidiary of Bosch Group registered in China, the Center would provide services for Bosch's auto parts plants in China in terms of testing of spare parts and systems. Through the Center, Bosch would present hi-tech to the Chinese markets in the fields of chassis system, energy and electronics system, auto media and auto electronics.
