SIP "Common Agreement" Beneficial to All
Recently enterprises in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) signed an agreement on the employment of laborers, arousing interests of quite a lot of people.
For the last 2 or 3 years, with the rapid growth of SIP, many new enterprises put into production, there's an obvious shortage of skilled technical workers. As a result of which, many new enterprises recruit employees of the neighboring companies. To solve this problem, after several rounds of discussions between SIP Administrative Committee and companies, the "Common Agreement on the Employment of Laborers of Invested Enterprises in Suzhou Industrial Park" was signed.
The content of the agreement is: firstly, the employee whose contract with the employer has not expired should not be employed by other companies unless the employer agrees; secondly, the enterprise should not employ laborers with a salary much higher than the guideline.
The signing of the agreement has achieved obvious results. Multinational companies are encouraged to upgrade its technology locally, providing more chances for technical workers to master new technology. New graduates have more chances to get a job. Enterprises strengthened training on employees as they no longer hop jobs too quickly.
