Increment of Talents in Tertiary Industry Exceeding That of Manufacturing
According to sources from the Suzhou Industrial Park Human Resource Development Co., (SIPHRD), increment of people engaged in tertiary industry is 20 per cent higher than that of the total population. SIP has a strong demand for people served in the tertiary industry.
During the past 10 years, manufacturing of SIP has been fully developed. But introduction of talents of tertiary industry lags behind. Traditionally, tertiary industry means tourism, retailing, restaurant, hotel, etc. With the growth of economy, finance, logistics, insurance, consultancy, and real estate gradually become the main stream of modern tertiary industry. International Science Park, Suzhou Logistics Center, and Dushu Lake Higher Education District all signify the emergence of tertiary industry of SIP.
According to Mr. Kang Yue, General Manager of SIPHRD, the growth of tertiary industry offers great opportunity for people engaged in tertiary industry. SIPHRD organized special recruitment markets for people in the service industry. More and more people in this line are attracted to SIP.
According to statistics, the number of people engaged in tertiary industry of China Singapore Cooperation Area is 16963, accounting for 15.2 per cent of the total population, with the increment reaching 72.8 per cent, much higher than the total population and people engaged in secondary industry.
