Grand Opening of Mercury Marine Technology
Mercury Marine Technology Suzhou Company held its grand opening ceremony yesterday morning in the Export Processing Zone (EPZ) of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP).
Established in Dec 2003, Mercury Marine Technology Suzhou Co. Ltd is designed to produce the 40hp to 60 hp four stroke boat engines for world wide distribution. The plant has 60,000 square meters of land and has the ability to expand by a factor of 2.5 times.
First production started in March 2005 and the key processes include sub-assembly, painting, power head assembly, testing (both cold spin and hot test), boxing for export and shipping. The quality lab consists of precision gaging equipment with the capability of fulfilling the inspection requirements of all the incoming components. With a state of the art assembly line and strict control of quality, all products produced in the Suzhou plant will strive to exceed customer’s expectation.
Based in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Mercury has grown and expanded its products and markets over the years. Today Mercury Marine is the leading producer of marine engines in the world.
