About 80 students from the Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research of the University of Science and Technology of China, mostly software majors, took part in the event organized by the Administrative Committee and the Communist Youth League Working Committee of Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District on Apr 17 to have a direct interaction with 10 industry-leading AI technology enterprises.
The event was the first of a series of events themed “Outstanding College Students’ Tours to Industries” which Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District hopes can help students in higher education institutions know better about the industries where they may work in the future.
The students first attended the exchange conference held in Suzhou Creative Industry Park, where they listened to the enterprises’ introductions to their recruitment plans and technological innovations, learned about the development of the AI industry in SIP, and asked questions about career prospects and planning.
The students then visited SIP AI Exhibition Center where they gained a holistic picture of development and application of AI technologies in SIP, and later went to a research institute and two tech companies to learn about their latest projects.
